Imagine Well Being (IWB) was originally conceived in 2011 as a service project to address the personal, social and spiritual needs of individuals and families in the Northern Virginia region.
Participants have expressed interest in establishing chapters in other regions. Imagine Well Being provides support for new chapters in the following five areas:
Each Imagine Well Being chapter will have trained volunteer guides, equipped to share knowledge, skills and resources with the general public, especially with those who are not able to afford these services. Volunteer recruitment will be done by inviting participants to serve and offering unpaid internships to those completing wellness education, meditation and yoga teacher training.
Donations will be encouraged from those inspired by the mission of making well-being education, skills and resources available to all. The Imagine Well Being nonprofit status will be the umbrella for all fundraising in the U.S.
Imagine Well Being will provide a virtual training platform for the evidence-based curriculum and allow access to program resources for the volunteer Well Being Corps.
A global virtual platform will be available on the Imagine Well Being website. This platform will enable virtual programming and allow users to network with other groups who are providing well-being resources at no charge.
An administrative staff support structure will ensure that protocols for Imagine Well Being training/curriculum development, database, technology, bookkeeping and liability safety are followed.
